XP Power officially announces three new line of wall-plug IP22 rated power supplies that bring significant benefits to the rapidly growing home healthcare market. These products are suitable for a variety of cost-sensitive industrial and medical applications while maintaining industry-leading performance. Increasingly, patient monitoring is being done at home or in the workplace to facilitate or reduce stress in hospitals. These new products are specifically designed to operate at 80VAC to allow for transmission line losses in remote non-hospital locations while maintaining a reliable DC output.
AMF series wall adapter power supplies offer power levels of 18W (AMF18), 24W (AMF24) and 36W (AMF36), with a single output covering all common voltages between 5.0V and 48.0V, allowing developers to choose the ideal for a variety of applications equipment. All AMF products are fully compliant with various medical, home medical and IT safety standards including EN55011, IEC60601 and UL 62368. Since this product is an adapter power supply, the design of any device is greatly simplified and the time, cost and risk associated with obtaining safety standards is eliminated.
As a Class II product, the series can operate safely in environments where the safety integrity of the ground is not known. The product is sealed to IP22, allowing the power supply to be cleaned and/or sterilized to reduce the risk of electric shock. The AMF Power Series offers 2 x MOPP (Mod of Patient Protection) to ensure the safety of the end user in the event of a power related issue. In addition, the product has a leakage current of less than 50A, allowing safe operation where applied parts may be connected to the patient.
All AMF power supply series operate over an ultra-wide input voltage range of 80 to 264VAC, allowing worldwide operation and providing additional headroom for areas where voltage may fluctuate. Each product comes with a range of interchangeable AC connectors, enabling the power supply (and any associated medical equipment) to be used worldwide.
