Steute provides simplified process monitoring for injection molding machines with rotating plates. The company's wireless switches and sensors guarantee safe, reliable and cable-free signal transmission in a variety of applications. One area of the solution is plastic injection molding, particularly multi-component processes, which typically include machines with rotating plates.

These plates allow the main parts of the building elements to be moulded first, and then the second part to be injected after the plates are rotated 90 or 180 degrees. This prevents distortion and speeds up the production process.

Since this solution is the most delicate way for rotating machinery components to generate signal transmission (simple installation, no wear), it has been adopted by leading plastic processors. Most of them opted for the company's range of position switches (e.g. ES 13), which are "wirelessly compatible" with wireless universal transmitters (RF 96 ST or RF I/O). In addition, radio frequency IS range wireless sensor IS also available.

The cost of installing wireless switches or sensors, including receivers and integrations in machine control systems, is very manageable. By contrast, the benefits are huge, as this option is a straightforward and reliable way to bypass tool corruption. Incidentally, similar solutions are used in metal working, such as monitoring the positioning of the workpiece in a bending machine.
