Vishay has introduced a new series of vPolyTan solid tantalum surface mount chip capacitors that provide higher volume efficiency for handheld consumer electronics. The T58 series combines polymer tantalum technology with a proprietary high-efficiency MicroTan → package to achieve the industry's best capacitor voltage ratings in six molded case codes, including the compact M0 (1608-10) case. 47µF-6.3V and 220µF-10V and 330µF-6.3V in BB (3528-20).
Utilizing the patented MAP (Multi-Array Packaging) assembly technology, capacitors released today have a 10% improvement in space utilization compared to similar devices, saving PCB space, and enabling the design of smaller, thinner end products, including Smartphones, tablets and ultra-thin products.
