Vishay's VOW3120 new IGBT and MOSFET motor drivers are used in alternative energy sources, welding equipment and many other high energy applications. Optocouplers have optocoupled LEDs with output power stages, making them ideal for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs for motor control and inverter applications. The high operating voltage range of the output stage provides the driving voltage required by the gate control device. The voltage and current provided by VOW3120 makes it ideal for directly driving IGBTs rated up to 1200V / 100A. For IGBTs with higher ratings, VOW3120 can be used to drive discrete power stages to drive the gates of IGBTs. VOW3120 provides higher isolation for applications that operate at higher operating voltages or higher pollution levels. Higher VIORM, VIOTM, creepage distances and clearances make the VOW3120 ideal for many industrial control and power conversion applications.
