Keystone Electronics has expanded its portfolio of hyperplane surface-mounted threaded plug-ins with the introduction of both metric and imperial threaded versions. Surface mounting inserts are now available in metric (M2.5, M3, M4) or IMPERIAL threads (2-56, 4-40, 6-32). With only 0.3 mm of protrusion above the board, especially flat integration is possible.
Special packaging and design enables quick and easy addition of tinned steel threaded inserts to PCBS. The same techniques used for other surface-mounted components are used. This optimizes processing in terms of time. It is also compelling that this method avoids the damage that might have been caused by the previous use of conventional methods to thread the PCB.
Tape and reel packaging and Capton tape on top make these RoHS-compliant products ideal for virtually all vacuum and mechanical pickup and placement assembly systems.
