Despite its small size, this module still integrates two micro control units (MCU): one compatible with Arm? Cortex?- M33's 200 MHz main MCU and a compatible Arm? Cortex?- M23's 20 MHz MCU can realize low power consumption operation and support running complete communication firmware. NORA-W3 also provides the option of using embedded antennas, which makes the integration process more smooth.
The dual band Wi Fi and Bluetooth LE provided by the u-blox NORA-W3 module can ensure reliable Wi Fi connection in the field application environment, partly because the module can use the less congested 5 GHz frequency band, while the Bluetooth LE ensures easier use and installation. Built in u? ConnectXpress greatly reduces the workload of software development. The R&D personnel do not need to have in-depth technical knowledge of embedded Wi Fi and Bluetooth LE, but also can quickly bring the solution to the market.
In today's environment, ensuring the security of communications is critical. The u-blox NORA-W3 series modules provide rich security functions, including secure startup, encryption, trusted execution environment, and authentication. At the same time, they protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access with the help of storage capacity. NORA-W3 module is small in size (package specification is only 14.3mmx10.4mmx1.9mm), and it is internally integrated with high-performance embedded antenna, especially suitable for design scenarios with limited space.
