Vishay Intertechnology has a new surface mount TRANSZORB two-way TELEVISION packaged in SMC (DO-214AB) packages for automotive, industrial and telecommunications applications. The SMC3KxxxCAHM3_A series devices provide 3kW high wave capacity at 10/1000μs, meet the ISO 16750-2 Pulse b standard, provide low leakage current up to 1μA in the 22v-120v range, and can operate at high temperatures up to +175C.
The series is ideal for aEC-Q101 qualified high reliability applications, providing very stable breakdown voltage over the entire operating temperature range from -55C to +175C, from 11.1V to 133V. Designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from inductive load switches and voltage transients caused by lightning, the device is mainly used for automotive load dump protection and signal line protection in industrial and telecommunications systems.
This device is rohs compliant, halogen free, and offers MSL 1, LF maximum peak 260C per J-STD-020. The series includes 33 TV part numbers with isolation voltages from 10V to 120V. The device has the characteristics of fast response time, small surge resistance, strong clamping ability, etc. The maximum clamping voltage can reach 17V ~ 193V, 10/1000μs.
