Amphenol RF now offers pre configured 2.92mm cable assemblies developed on flexible 0.85 "consistency cables. The cable assembly is designed with a rugged RF interconnect similar to the SMA interface, with a smaller inner diameter and air dielectric to support a higher frequency range up to 40GHz. Gold plated, stainless steel connectors can be compatible with SMA and 3.5mm connectors. The male pin is shorter than SMA or 3.5mm to ensure that the external contact of male plug and female plug is prior to that of male plug and female socket. This ensures that pins and sockets will not have excessive wear and mismatch of SMA or 3.5mm of mating stress.
This flexible cable assembly provides a compact bending radius while providing low VSWR and special return and insertion losses.
