The TLV5620C and TLV5620I are four-way 8-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converters (Dacs) with buffered reference inputs (high impedance). The TLV5620C features operating temperatures from 0°C to 70°C. The TLV5620I features operating temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. The TLV5620C and TLV5620I do not require external trimming.
The output voltage produced by DAC ranges between one or two times of the reference voltage and GND. Also, dac is monotonous. The device is simple to use as it runs from 3v to 3.6V from a single power supply. Power-on reset function to ensure repeatable start conditions.
Digital control of the TLV5620C and TLV5620I is via a simple three-wire serial bus, which is CMOS compatible and easily connects to all popular microprocessor and microcontroller devices. The 11-bit command word consists of 8 bits of data, two DAC select bits, and a range bit, which allows the choice between multiplying by 1 or multiplying by 2 the output range.
The DAC register is dual-buffered, allowing a complete set of new values to be written to the device, and then all DAC outputs are updated simultaneously via the LDAC's controls. Digital input function Schmidt trigger high anti-interference. 14 Terminal Small Profile (SO) packaging allows for digital control of analog functions in space-critical applications.
