TAS2110 of Texas Instruments is a digital input class D audio amplifier, which is packaged in an algorithm controlled 11v class H boost QFN. The pre algorithm optimizes the boost level to match the output of the audio signal. This provides the required power for peak output and significantly reduces average power consumption compared to constant output gain. The algorithm is configured with the PurePath console GUI.
Simplified Schematic
Class D audio amplifier can convert 6.1 W peak power to 4 ohm load at 3.6 V battery voltage. The efficiency of TAS2110 is 83.5% at 1 W, and the consumption is less than 1 uA in the hardware off mode. TAS2110 helps prevent system shutdown through configurable power reduction protection and configurable V (BAT) tracking peak voltage limiter. TAS2110 QFN package is compatible with two-layer board design
