Texas Instruments' CC2564MODx modules are a complete Bluetooth BR/EDR and low-energy HCI solution that reduces design effort, cost, and time-to-market. The CC2564MODx modules include TI's 7th generation core and provide a general-purpose, product-proven solution compatible with Bluetooth 4.1. These modules are FCC certified, IC and CE certified and no prior RF experience is required to develop these devices. The CC2564MODx includes a royalty-free software stack compatible with several host MCUs and CPUs. The device offers best-in-class RF performance, with transmit power and receive sensitivity delivering twice the range and higher throughput than other Bluetooth low energy solutions.
TI's MSP430 and MSP432 Arm Cortex-M3 and Arm Cortex-M4 MCUs, and dual-mode Bluetooth stack software for Linux-based MPUs are certified and license-free. Other processors are available through TI's third-party support. The iPod (MFi) protocol is supported by an add-on software package. Protocols and sample applications include Serial Port Profile (SPP), Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP), Hands-Free Profile (HFP), Human Interface Device (HID), Universal Attribute Profile (GATT) and several Bluetooth Low Energy profiles and services. BOOST-CC2564MODA and CC2564MODxEM evaluation boards are available for each model.
