TPS22914 / 15 is a small, low RON, slew rate controlled single-channel load switch from Texas Instruments. The device contains an N-channel MOSFET that can operate over an input voltage range of 1.05V to 5.5V and can support a maximum continuous current of 2A. The switch is controlled by an on / off input, which can be directly interfaced with a low-voltage control signal. The device's small size and low RON make it ideal for space-constrained battery-powered applications.
The wide input voltage range of the switch makes it a universal solution for many different voltage rails. The controlled rise time of the device greatly reduces the inrush current caused by large-capacity load capacitors, thereby reducing or eliminating power supply drops. The TPS22915 further reduces the size of the overall solution by integrating a 143ohm pull-down resistor to quickly output discharge (QOD) when the switch is turned off.
The TPS22914 / 15 is available in a small, space saving 0.78 mx 0.78mm, 0.4mm pitch, 0.5mm height 4-pin wafer size (WCSP) package (YFP). The device is characterized for operation in a free air temperature range of -40C to 85C.
