TDK has expanded the CCT series of clamp-type AC current sensors with two new sensors rated at 300A and 80A. The new sensors are designed for use in power distribution panels for various systems, such as power distribution panels (HEMS, BEMS, FEMS, SEMS) for energy management systems (EMS) in homes, buildings, factories and shops . The 300A and 80A types have a transformer ratio of 3000: 1 and provide maximum output currents of 100mA and 26.6mA, respectively. The new clamp-type AC current sensor has integrated open-circuit protection elements for voltage peak suppression. The 300A clamp has an inner diameter of 24mm and is suitable for high current applications such as energy management systems (EMS) (BEMS, FEMS, SEMS) in buildings, factories and shops. It has an optimized sensor shape and a high-performance ferrite material developed specifically for current sensors to achieve high current ratings. The 80A type uses the same materials as the 100-A and 30-A types of the existing CCT series. The inner diameter of the clamp is 10mm. Thanks to the snap-on clamp design, CCT current sensors can be quickly and easily installed on existing distribution boards. The company says it will begin mass production soon.
