RECOM's RMD500 series of 500 W DC/DC converters are designed to meet the specific requirements of transportation, especially rail vehicles. They feature a 4:1 input voltage range from 43 VDC to 137.5 VDC (72 V and 110 V nominal), with isolated and regulated 24 V outputs. The RMD500 series achieves the above specifications through a reinforced isolation system.
The RMD500 converters have a constant high efficiency of 95% and can be used in parallel in an n+1 redundant design. For categories OT4+ST1&ST2, the baseplate assembly allows a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +70/85°C. This provides full power over the entire temperature range without the need for derating or additional fans.this product is a fully compact plug-and-play device for rail transit equipment, complete with features and functions including input reverse polarity protection, inrush current limit, 10 ms hold-up time, remote control and output O-ring diode.
The RMD500 series converters are EN62368-1 marked and fully tested to the latest EN50155 rail standard covering all relevant standards. Target applications include traction and propulsion, drive systems, electrical boxes and cabinets, brake and door systems, train control monitoring systems, HVAC, security systems, data loggers, lighting, WLAN systems, radio communications, and passenger information display device, etc.
