Diodes Incorporated adds to its extensive line of linear ReDriver ics. The PI3UPI1608 helps significantly increase PCB wiring length while minimizing power consumption and associated BOM costs.
With speeds up to 20Gbps, this UPI 2.0 and PCIe 4.0 compatible device offers eight differential channels. Its built-in coupling capacitors can significantly save plate area because the use of external components can be avoided. Key applications include AI servers, 5G network infrastructure, data storage devices, high-performance PCS, and CPU-to-CPU and CPU-to-storage interconnection.
ReDriver compensates the channel loss of transmitter and enhances the signal integrity of receiver. It is optimized for high performance systems operating at high frequencies.
The device can reduce BER and ISI, thus extending channel range over mixed physical media. Mainly due to its programmable linear equalization, output swing, and flat gain capabilities, this programmability can be achieved through the PIN-Strap and I2C interfaces.
ReDriver IC is available in a 116-pin QFN package (measuring 13 mm x 7 mm). And use 3.3V power supply, operating temperature range from -40℃ to +85℃.
