Panasonic Automotive Industrial Systems recently introduced a new series of anti-surge resistors that benefit from high temperature and small size thanks to capacitively coupled isolation. The new ERJ-PA2 series resistors have a shell size of 0402 and a rated power of 0.2W, which can save space without sacrificing the rated power specification. High 3kV ESD voltage provides high circuit reliability. A TCR of 100ppm and tolerances as low as +/- 0.5% enable very stable resistance and circuit operation.
Stephane Ngandeu Latta, Product Manager, Panasonic Equipment Solutions Business Unit, said: "Our new ERJ-PA2 series anti-surge resistors use metal glaze thick film resistor elements and three layers of electrodes to make them very reliable. The products have excellent ESD surge characteristics For standard metal film resistors. "
The ERJ-PA2 series components are designed for a wide operating temperature range of -55C to + 155C, making them ideal for automotive / transport applications, industrial electronics, and consumer electronics. The company said that this environmentally friendly device is fully RoHS / REACH compliant.
