YAGEO Pulse extends its inductor line with a cross-inductor based voltage regulator developed in the public domain. Hybrid devices mitigate the bandwidth constraints of <s:4> existing VRM solutions, further driving performance improvements. The transformer inductor is similar to a <s:4> conventional single-turn VR inductor, but with the addition of a second tightly coupled winding. Main Low DCR primary used for <s:4> Conventional VR inductors have PWM input. Each single turn secondary coil is tied in a series loop <e:6> referring to the local ground.

When a load step occurs on a given phase, the increase or decrease of duty cycle results in <s:3> reflection to the secondary winding; Because the secondary of each phase is in the series loop, this change can be seen immediately. <s:4> By magnetic coupling, the induced changes are reflected in the primary windings of each inductor. In effect, this allows all stages <e:6> to respond to load transients simultaneously, greatly reducing the time required for converter adjustment. The PAL6374.xxxHLT family <e:6> is designed to power processors, memory, FPgas, and ASics in applications such as servers, data centers, and storage systems
