TDK Corporation has launched the PXD40 and PXD60 series of 40W and 60W DC-DC converters under the TDK-Lambda brand. Operating on 12V and 24V or 24V and 48V supply voltage reduces inventory costs and increases parts availability. Six-sided shielding reduces radiated emissions and simplifies system compliance. Converter applications include industrial control, telecom/datacom, and test and measurement equipment. And these units are available in an industry-standard 2" x 1" package and operate over a wide 4:1 input range, accepting 9VDC to 36VDC or 18VDC to 75VDC inputs.
These latest models offer single output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24 and 48V, or dual output voltages of ±12, ±15 and ±24V. Single output models can be modified by ±10% using the trim function (-10/+20% for 15V and 24V outputs). All models offer remote on/off functionality (positive or negative logic) and are shielded from output overvoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature conditions. No minimum load required.
Derating at high temperatures depends on airflow and available heat dissipation. These products can also be supplied with an optional radiator mount. The unit measures 2” x 1” x 0.4” (50.8mm x 25.4mm x 10.2mm) and can operate from -40°C to +105°C.
This series provides input to output and input to 1600vdc enclosure isolation. Safety approvals include IEC/UL/EN62368-1, CE and UKCA marking for low voltage and RoHS directives.
