Magnachip Semiconductor has begun mass production of organic light-emitting diode display driver integrated circuits (OLED DDIC) for OLED TVS.
DDIC products for UHD OLED TVS have been developed based on enhanced high-voltage analog processing technology and cutting-edge design to meet the needs of large-sized HDTVS and high-end OLED TVS.
The new DDIC supports up to 960 source output channels, plus COF package and high-speed serial interface, making it an excellent solution for UHD OLED TVS. With the company's advanced technology used to optimize resolution, the new product supports a wide range of resolutions between HD (1,366 x 768) and UHD 4K (3,840 x 2,160). It can also be applied to different panels, ranging from 40" to 80".
YJ Kim, CEO of Magnachip, said, "OLED TVS are gaining market share in the high-end TV market. "Magnachip will strengthen its technology leadership position in the OLED DDIC market for large displays by rapidly delivering high-performance products, and will continue to diversify its product portfolio to meet a wider range of applications such as a variety of IT devices and vehicles through advanced OLED DDIC solutions."
