Post-datum: 2023-02-01

TMS320C6678 is a high performance fixed/floating point DSP based on TI KeyStone multi-core architecture. The device features a new and innovative C66x DSP core with core speeds up to 1.4GHz. TI's TMS320C6678 DSP is available at 11.2 GHz cumulative DSP, providing an energy efficient and easy-to-use platform for developers in a variety of applications such as mission-critical systems, medical imaging, test and automation, and other applications requiring high performance. In addition, it is fully backward compatible with all existing C6000 series fixed and floating point DSPS.

TI's KeyStone architecture provides a programmable platform that integrates a variety of subsystems (C66x core, memory subsystem, peripherals, and accelerators) and uses several innovative components and technologies to maximize communication within and between devices, thus allowing a variety of DSP resources to operate efficiently and seamlessly. At the heart of the architecture are key components such as the multi-core Navigator, which allows efficient data management between various device components.

TeraNet is a non-blocking switching structure that enables fast and uncontested movement of internal data. A multi-core shared memory controller allows direct access to shared and external memory without taking up switch capacity.
