By introducing a new right-angle plug surface-mount version, Molex has expanded its high-speed HSAutolink connection system to provide additional mounting options for optimized manufacturing processes.
The rugged, industry-standard USCAR-30 header meets all the electrical and EMI shielding requirements of USB2.0, LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling), and Ethernet BroadR-Reach in automotive and commercial vehicle applications that connect vehicle segments.
Laurent Stickeir, global product manager at Molex, said, "The one-piece design of the connector ensures a high degree of integrity and ruggedness of the connector interface, while a high-temperature plastic housing protects all internal parts during lead-free reflow. Soldering."
The innovative side ribs on the housing ensure PCB stability in one step, further improving the efficiency of the manufacturing process. Flexible packaging options for rigid trays and reels allow for fully automated assembly. Several color-coded keying options are also available.
