TCM809 and TCM810 are cost-effective system monitoring circuits used to monitor VDD in digital systems; Provide a reset signal to the host processor if necessary. No external components are required. The RESET output is usually activated by the drive within 65 µsec of the VDD passing the reset voltage threshold. RESET remains active for at least 140 milliseconds after the VDD rises above the reset threshold.

Typical Application Circuit

The TCM810 output is active-high RESET, and the TCM809 output is active-low RESET. The effective output range of the TCM809/TCM810 is VDD = 1V. Both devices are available in 3-pin SC-70 and SOT-23B packages. The TCM809/TCM810 is optimized to suppress fast transient failures on VDD lines. Low supply current 9 μA (typical. , VDD = 3.3V) to make these devices suitable for battery powered applications.

Pin Configurations

The TCM809/TCM810 provides accurate VDD monitoring and reset timing under power-on, power-off, and power-off/pause conditions. These devices can also reject negative transients (failures) along the power line. Figure 4-1 shows the maximum transient duration and maximum negative offset (overdrive) for troubleshooting. Any combination of duration under the curve and overspeed will not produce a reset signal.
