Maxim MAX11253 16-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The 6-channel, 16-bit device achieves excellent performance with extremely low power consumption, making it ideal for applications such as programmable logic controller (PLC) analog I / O, battery-powered meters, pressure sensors, and scales. Sampling rates up to 64ksps allow accurate DC measurements. The MAX11253 communicates via an SPI serial interface and is available in a small (5mm x 5mm) TQFN package. The MAX11253 provides a 6.2nV / noise programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with a gain setting range from 1x to 128x. The integrated PGA isolates the signal input of the switched capacitor sampling network. PGA also enables the MAX11253 to interface directly with high-impedance sources without affecting the usable dynamic range.
