The LT3014B is a high-voltage, low-power, low-drop linear voltage regulator. The device is capable of providing an output current of 20mA and an output voltage of 350mV. Designed for battery powered or high voltage systems, the low static current (7 μA operation) makes the LT3014B an ideal choice.
Typical applications
Static current is also good at controlling power outages. Other features of the LT3014B include the ability to use very small output capacitors. The voltage regulator's output is only 0.47 μF, whereas most older devices require stability between 10 and 100 μF. Small ceramic capacitors can be used without the need to add ESR, as is common with other regulators.
The internal protection circuit includes battery reverse protection, current limiting, heat limiting and reverse current protection. The device is adjustable with a reference voltage of 1.22V. The LT3014B regulator is available in the 5-lead ThinSOT and 8-lead DFN packages.
