The ADP3336 is a member of the ADP333x precision low-difference anyCAP voltage regulator family. The ADP3336 has an input voltage range of 2.6 V to 12 V, providing continuous load current up to 500 mA. The ADP3336 stands out from traditional Ldos with the lowest thermal resistance of any MSOP-8 package, as well as enhanced processes that allow it to provide a performance advantage over its competitors.

Its patented design requires only stability of a 1.0μF output capacitor. The device is insensitive to the output capacitance equivalent series resistance (ESR) and is stable with any high quality capacitor, including ceramic (MLCC) types for space-confined applications.
Functional block diagram
The ADP3336 has an accuracy of ±0.9% at room temperature and ±1.8% at temperature, line and load. At 500 mA, the ADP3336 voltage drop is only 200 mV(typical).The device also includes safety current limits, thermal overload protection and shutdown features. In off mode, the ground current is reduced to less than 1µA. The ADP3336 has ultra-low static current of 80 μA under light load (typical).
