The ADP3333 is a member of the ADP333x Precision Low Drop Differential (LDO) anyCAP voltage regulator family. With the MAX8860-compatible pins, the ADP3333 has a wider input voltage range of 2.6V to 12V and load current up to 300 mA. The ADP3333 stands out from other traditional Ldos with a novel architecture and enhanced processes that enable it to provide a performance advantage over its competitors. Its patented design requires only stability of a 1.0μF output capacitor.
Functional block diagram
The device is insensitive to output capacitance equivalent series resistance (ESR) and is stable for use with any high quality capacitor, including ceramic (MLCC) types for space-confined applications. The ADP3333 has an accuracy of ±0.8% at room temperature and ±1.8% at temperature, line and load variations. At 300 mA, the ADP3333 has a voltage drop of only 140 mV(typical).
Typical application circuit
The device also includes safety current limits, thermal overload protection and shutdown features. In off mode, the ground current is reduced to less than 1 μA. The ADP3333 has A(typical) ultra-low static current of 70 μA under light load.
