The SINGLE-wafer Power System (MPS) MAQ473 MagAlpha Automotive Angle sensor is designed to detect the absolute angular position of a permanent magnet, usually a diameter magnetized cylinder on an axis of rotation. Fast data acquisition and processing enables accurate Angle measurements at speeds from 0rpm to 60000 RPM. The device supports a variety of magnetic field strengths and spatial configurations. Both shaft end and off-shaft (side shaft mounting) configurations are supported.
It provides magnetic field strength detection with a programmable threshold to detect the position of the magnet relative to the sensor to create functionality, including detection of axial motion or diagnostics.
On-chip nonvolatile memory provides storage for configuration parameters, including reference zero angle position, ABZ encoder settings, and magnetic field detection thresholds.
A is AEC-Q100 qualified and available in 3mm x 3mm QFN-16 package with wettable sides.
