RSLIC18 series ring subscriber line interface circuit (RSLIC) supports analog ordinary telephone service (POTS) and is suitable for short and medium loop length, wireless and wired applications. This series of products are very suitable for remote user units, providing designers with the flexibility of high ringing voltage and low power consumption system requirements.

Block Diagram

The operating voltage of HC55183 and HC55184 series can reach 75V, while the operating voltage of HC55185 series can reach 100V, which is directly converted into ringing voltage provided to end users. Under the operating voltage of 100V, the user loop length can be extended to 500 Ω (i.e. 5000 feet) or more. Other key features of the product family include low power consumption, use of sine or trapezoidal waveform ringing, robust automatic detection mechanisms when users turn on or off, and minimal external discrete application components. The selected products also provide integrated test access to support loopback testing and line measurement testing.

Pinouts

There are two products in the RSLIC18 family: HC55183 and HC55184. The architecture of this series is based on the design of voltage feed amplifiers and uses low fixed loop gain to achieve high analog performance and low sensitivity to system induced noise.
