The DRV592 is an efficient, high-current H-bridge ideal for driving a variety of thermoelectric cooler components in systems with power from 2.8V to 5.5V. The low output on-resistance significantly reduces the power consumption of the amplifier. The DRV592 can be driven by any external PWM generator, such as DSP, microcontroller, or FPGA. Frequencies range from dc(i.e. on or off) to 1mhz. Input is compatible with TTL logic level. DRV592 is internal protection against heat and current overload.

Typical application circuit

The logic level fault indicator signals when the junction temperature reaches approximately 130°C, allowing system level shutdown before the amplifier's internal thermal shutdown circuit is activated. The fault indicator will also signal when an overcurrent event occurs. If the overcurrent circuit trips, the DRV592 automatically resets.
