PurePath Studio is a highly intuitive drag-and-drop development environment that minimizes software development effort while allowing end users to take advantage of the power and flexibility of the TAS3208 digital audio processing core. TAS3208 processing capabilities include speaker equalization and crossover, volume/bass/treble control, signal mixing /MUXing/ splitting, delay compensation, dynamic range compression, and many other essential audio features. Audio features such as matrix decoding, stereo amplification, surround sound virtualization and psychoacoustic bass lifting are also available using third-party or TI royalty-free algorithms.

The TAS3208 may be used with an external asynchronous sample rate converter (ASRC) to accommodate asynchronous serial inputs at different sampling rates

The TAS3208 contains a custom designed fully programmable 135 mhz 48-bit digital audio processor. The 76-bit accumulator ensures the high accuracy required to maintain high quality digital audio during arithmetic operations. Stereo sound, 93 db DNR ADC, and six 97 db DNR Dacs ensure high quality audio is maintained throughout the signal chain.
