Bourns, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of electronic components, today announced the expansion of its POWrFuse™ high-power fuse product line with the introduction of two new PF-F and PF-M series. This series are high power rated industrial fuses designed to meet the UL 248-13 semiconductor (aR) standard. These high power fuses help protect sensitive power semiconductor equipment and protect against the effects of overcurrent events in a variety of power inverters, converters, rectifiers, AC/DC drives, UPS systems and step-down motor starters , is an excellent solution.
Bourns® POWrFuse PF-F series features 800 VAC/VDC voltage, 50-400 A power rating, and breaking current values up to 100 kA @ 800 VAC and 50 kA @ 800 VDC. The POWrFuse PF-M series offers 240 VAC/150 VDC voltage, 50-180 A power ratings, and breaking current values up to 160 kA @ 240 VAC and 50 kA @ 150 VDC. Both series of high power fuses are bolted to provide fast action protection under fault current, low resistance and low power loss, and offer an operating temperature range of -55 to +125 °C.
In addition, both series are UL certified, which helps Oems save certification time while improving overall quality and reliability. In turn, these certifications will help reduce the total cost to the end customer.
