Bourns, the world's leading manufacturer of electronic components, announced the expansion of its CSM2F series power shunt resistor combination and the addition of 12 new series. These new series are characterized by riveted through hole metal sensing pins, which meet the growing demand for accurate positioning of voltage sensing points in high current applications.
These latest products of Bourns Model CSM2F series parallel resistance family are designed with our electron beam welding resistance technology, supporting high-power design up to 50 watts, and continuous current up to 1414 amperes. In addition, these new series are composed of metal alloy resistance elements, providing as low as 0.25 μ V/K thermoelectric EMF.
Available in two or three tinned copper pin options, the new model CSM2F series provides an additional sensing pin option that connects to the ground terminal of the circuit. The three pin design helps to reduce the sensing error. By carrying the grounding current from a separate path of the sensing circuit, higher measurement accuracy can be obtained.
The new Bourn Model CSM2F series parallel resistor family also has a wide resistance range, from 25 µ Ω to 200 µ Ω, and a low ± 50 PPM/℃ TCR in the temperature range of 20 ° C to 60 ° C. To provide designers with additional flexibility, the new series offers three different surface treatments to meet different customer environments and welding needs, and has four packaging sizes: 691885187036 and 8536 (metric).
