The Atmel SAMW25 SmartConnect Wi-Fi module features industry-leading low-power 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b / g / n Wi-Fi ATWINC1500 SoC (System on Chip) and Atmel's latest ARM CortexR-M0 + based microcontroller technology.
As an independent endpoint development, designers can execute complete applications on the SAMW25 module. The turnkey system has an integrated software solution with security protocols (eg TLS, SSL, WPA / WPA2) and network services (eg DHCP, DNS, TCP / IP (IPv4), UDP, HTTP and HTTPS).
These modules are designed to help designers with minimal 802.11, IP stack or RF experience to add Wi-Fi connections. Using the SAMW25 SmartConnect Wi-Fi module provides designers with an entry point into IoT and various battery-powered devices and applications that need to integrate WLAN connectivity without reducing cost or power consumption.
The ATSAMW25-XPRO evaluation board is also available to help designers access the functions of the SAMW25 SmartConnect Wi-Fi module.
