Analog Devices - Six- output clock generator integrates 2.8GHz VCO (AD9518-01)

Post-datum: 2016-01-05, Analog Devices Inc.
ADI's AD9518-01 six-output clock generator provides multi-output clock distribution with sub-picosecond jitter performance, as well as on-chip PLL and VCO. The on-chip VCO is tuned from 2.55GHz to 2.95GHz. Alternatively, an external VCO / VCXO up to 2.4GHz can be used. The AD9518-0 emphasizes low jitter and phase noise to maximize data converter performance and can benefit other applications that have stringent requirements for phase noise and jitter. The AD9518-0 has six LVPECL outputs (three pairs). The LVPECL output operates at 1.6 GHz. For applications that require additional output, the crystal reference voltage input, zero delay or EEPROM can be automatically configured at startup, and the AD9520 and AD9522 are available. The AD9518-0 is available in a 48-lead LFCSP package and can be powered from a single 3.3V supply. By connecting a charge pump power supply (VCP) to 5V, an external VCO that requires an extended voltage range can be accommodated. A separate LVPECL power supply can range from 2.5V to 3.3V (nominal). The AD9518-0 is specified over the industrial temperature range of −40C to + 85C.
