Metcase's UNIMET and Unimet-Plus desktops and portable instrument cases have improved bezels that enhance the aesthetics and make them more customizable.
The new bezel of the enclosure now includes eight sections - four die-cast angles, two horizontal and two vertical extrusions. This means that enclosures can now offer custom heights as well as custom widths and depths. That makes them the company's two most customizable models.
Design engineers specify enclosures for a variety of applications, including medical devices, industrial controls, test and measurement, switch boxes, peripherals and interfaces, communications and laboratory equipment.
The new Angle castings also offer other benefits, such as they are cast from zinc, which allows for better tolerances and even better fit and paint finish.
On the housing, the new baffle is constructed as an aluminum main housing with a detachable U-shaped top. Both also offer a detachable rear panel that recesses to shield connectors and switches.
Both enclosures are available as standard in light grey (RAL 7035) and window grey (RAL 7040) color combinations. Other features common to both models include four non-slip rubber feet and a tilting/rotating handle that doubles as a table stand. This indexable handle can be adjusted for perfect viewing Angle.
Models are available in six sizes :UNIMET, 230mm x 190mm x 50mm to 350mm x 260mm x 150mm; Unimet-plus, 230mm x 193mm x 50mm to 350mm x 263mm x 150mm
Accessories available include front panel kits, PCB/ panel fitting screws, PCB mounting kits, PCB rails (uniMEt-Plus only) and sloped/non-sloped box feet.
The company can offer these models fully customized. Services include custom sizing, custom front panels, fixing and inserting, CNC machining, painting and finishing, and digital printing of legends and signs.
